Simone Smith
Development Associate
Simone is excited to join Berean’s development team. Simone grew up in Sydney Australia. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of New England, Armidale. After graduating, she went to work for the Australian government in their economic research department doing statistical analysis and economic forecasting. She moved back to Sydney to join a small consulting firm helping clients secure capital works funding from the government as well as helping both domestic and international clients with capital strategic planning, project management, community consultation and cost benefit analysis. Some of her clients included the Sydney Olympic Committee, local and state governments and the World Wildlife Fund. While in Sydney, she returned to university and completed her Masters of Environmental Law at the University of Sydney.
After meeting her husband Todd, they moved to Little Rock, Arkansas where Todd’s company was headquartered. Simone worked in the stewardship department at a large church, cultivating legacy gifts for various ministries. After some time at home with the kids, she worked for a local school helping with their documentation management for accreditation.
Todd’s company moved their family to the Bay Area in 2011. Since then she has spent several years working in local Christian schools designing and implementing fundraising programs, cultivating donor relationships and coordinating events for both fundraising and to promote community.
She is the mom to two Berean alumni Natalie (Class of 2021) and Lachlan (Class of 2022 ) and currently has twin freshman boys at Berean. When she is not on the sidelines cheering on her kids, she loves to bake and read. She is also the advocate at her church for a local ministry called Foster the City.
