Jonathan Fry

Hello! My name is Jonathan Fry and I am a Christian math teacher, on mission to train students to better utilize their God-given gift of rationality. My educational background is in mathematics and philosophy, and I have been teaching secondary math (prealgebra through calculus) in Christian schools for seven years. I want students to think about the big, important, meaning-of-life truth questions and how their actions line up with their beliefs and God's will, because there are far too many people who waste their lives distracted and pulled away from the only fulfilling life of following Jesus. I am excited to continue working out this burden and passion from the Lord at Berean Christian.

Originally from Southern California, my family (Wife - Amber, and three young children - Toby 8, Tristan 5, and Emily 3) love to call Walnut Creek and Hillside Covenant Church (formerly Open Table Church) our home for the past 7 years. We are a physically active family who love to play outside at parks and the beach. If you get to know me, you'll quickly discover I have many interests – serving in church ministries, math and philosophy (obviously), computer science, nerdy Euro-style board games, working out, and playing sports like volleyball, softball, basketball, spikeball, and disc golf – to name a few. Please talk to me if you have/may have similar interests; maybe we can form some clubs to learn and enjoy them together.
