Courses: English I and English IX

Greetings! It is my dream come true to be the Freshman English teacher here at Berean Christian High School! I came to my teaching career after fulfilling my first dream, which was to be a wife to my wonderful husband and stay-at-home mom to our two children, one of whom is a BCHS graduate. As the daughter of two spectacular Christian teachers, following their lifelong example, I have a deep and tender place in my heart for investing in the lives of high school students.

I love words! I love literature! I love to learn, and I am excited every day about engaging with the amazing young people God brings to my classes! My prayer and purpose as their teacher is to inspire my English students to a lifelong love of learning, thinking, reading, and writing. Everything we study in English I and English IX is through the lens of a bible-based, Christian worldview, and we work together to notice and learn from the connections between the stories we study and God's big story.
