Dr. Rhonda Gibbs

Head Women's Tennis Coach

Dr. Rhonda L. Gibbs is a motivational speaker that inspires youth. As a youth ambassador, she
travels the globe sharing biblical principles with others to help them reach their true potential. She
believes that messages to youth should be authentic, energetic, fun, and most importantly relevant.
This combination is what makes Dr. Rhonda one of the most sought after youth ministers in the
world.

Dr. Rhonda has been teaching sports since 1982. She had the privilege of playing High School
basketball at Hickory High School in Hermitage, PA. After high school she played basketball in
1981-1983 at the University of Pittsburgh. In 1983-1985 she played Tennis for the University of
Pittsburgh. Dr. Rhonda has ran basketball and tennis camps, clinics, and academies in several
states such as Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Kansas, and in California.

Since 2000, Dr. Rhonda has been running her own Homeschool Physical Education Program (RLG
Sports) in California. According to the CDC, “Childhood obesity is a serious problem in the United
States putting children and adolescents at risk for poor health.” RLG Sports is working to prevent
this growing concern from becoming a reality for our children with a consistent variety of activities.
We provide an ever-changing curriculum for our students designed to exercise their minds bodies
and their spirit.

Overall, Dr. Rhonda’s passion is working with youth and she uses all of her special gifts and talents
to help youth ASAP (Academically, Spiritually, And Physically). The main reason why she pursued
education so much was to be qualified to help the “Now Generation.” She earned her B.A. in
Rhetorical Communication with a minor in Psychology and Religion from the University of Pittsburgh
in 1985. She matriculated to Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK in 1987 where she graduated with
a Masters of Divinity in 1991 and a Doctorate in (Youth) Ministry in 1996.

Presently, she resides in Pleasanton, CA where she travels as Youth Ambassador out of Destiny
Christian Fellowship. Trains Youth Leaders online in Jamacia and other parts of country. She is
doing a book tour of her latest book called, “The Church of Now.” Weekly she teaches tennis as a
Certified Teaching Professional of USPTA and is a member of the USTA to all levels of tennis.
Since 2011, she has worked at several local high schools teaching basketball and tennis to boys
and girls. In February of 2022, Dr. Rhonda will be awarded the 2021 Awardee of Distinction from the
Pitt Varsity Letter Club. She constantly gives God all of the glory for the many talents He has given
her to give back to this “Now Generation.” Ultimately she just wants to obey the voice of God so that
she can change the world “One Youth At A Time.”
