Emily Wilson
Assistant Coach Track & Field - Sprints & Hurdles
Emily started coaching sprints and hurdles for Berean in the 2021 season. She is a first-time coach but a long-time track and field obsessor. She graduated from Berean in 2014, where she participated in volleyball, basketball, and track, and went to college at Biola University. After the first semester, she walked on at Biola and became an integral part of the Women's track and field team. In 2015 she was a part of a record-breaking 4x100m relay and competed at outdoor nationals. In 2016 she earned All-GSAC honors for the 200m and the 400m, became an NAIA All-American as a part of the women's DMR at indoor nationals, and scored in the top tier of points for the Eagles to win the GSAC championship. In 2017 she earned the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award, and in her final season (2018) she set new career-bests in the 200m and 400m, was the women's team captain, and achieved All-PacWest Academic recognition.
In her 8 seasons of track and field, she fell in love with the sport and what it does to promote character and spiritual growth in those who choose to participate. She hopes to be a part of re-working the Berean track team into a safe place for students to better themselves spiritually, physically, and mentally (while learning to run with good form above all else, of course).
