Lucas Abbott

Head coach Lucas Abbott has coached at Berean since 2015 and his teams have qualified for the NCS playoffs every year, including two CIF state playoff appearances in 2017 and 2018. He also coaches club volleyball at Xceleration Volleyball Club and his teams have qualified for Nationals numerous times including a 5th in the nation finish in 2018 and his team finished 2nd overall in the NCVA in 2017.

Lucas was an all-league Middle Blocker in High School and went on to play D1 Volleyball at Humboldt State University where he earned his B.S. in Wildlife. He ended his playing career almost 20 years later playing semi-pro for his USAV region’s team in the Premier Volleyball League.

His vision for the program is to provide a safe, positive, competitive and fun environment where all athletes feel valued and grow in their faith, athletic ability, confidence and self-worth.
