Mark joined Barcelon Associates Management Corporation in 1983, after serving in the US Marine Corps and working for Brown and Root Construction in various trades. He has a BS degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance from California State University Hayward (Now Cal State East Bay). Currently, Mark oversees corporate culture, strategic management, legal aspects, and works closely with the Co-CEO (Sandy Barcelon) and the Executive Team of Barcelon Associates Management Corporation. Their company provides consulting, marketing, and management of affordable housing for seniors and families working with many non-profit entities. Mark and Sandy are dedicated to preserving affordable housing.
Mark and Sandy have worked with the homeless for over 30 years, have opened their home to family and friends in need, been foster parents, and come beside many people that God has brought into their lives. Mark and Sandy have 3 sons each whom attended Ygnacio Valley Christian School and then Berean Christian High School.
Ygnacio Valley Christian School and Berean Christian High School provided our sons with a great education. Both schools partnered with us in encouraging our sons in a relationship with Jesus and spending time in the Word. It was such a gift to have our sons educated by an amazing group of teachers and administrative staff at both schools. Love, grace, truth, and a great education, it does not get any better. Our family was welcomed into athletics at Berean. Each of sons participated in sports all 4 years at Berean. We could often be found at football games, basketball games, volleyball matches, and track meets. I was offered the opportunity to coach at Berean and spent many years encouraging young men to live out their relationship with Jesus in the midst of athletic competition.
